UTTERLY NATURAL, UNDYED WOOLEN TWEED JACKET 2

The story of this bird’s eye tweed fabric couldn’t be simpler. The wool was sheared off brown and light brown sheep, woven into fabric and washed with soap. It’s completely natural and undyed. No colors or chemicals were used in the milling of this tweed. This jacket will be made to your measurements.
This jacket is designed to be totally forgotten once you have it on, all the while making you look casually well-dressed and keeping you warm. We achieve this by sewing this jacket to your specific measurements, keeping the jacket unstructured, unlined and with natural soft shoulders. Completely crafted by hand, it is meant to become an extension of you. Perhaps the most difficult of men’s garments to sew, your jacket will be crafted in roughly 40 hours by a single artisan, in their own workshop.

• FABRIC

  100% Virgin wool. Washed wool effect. Roughly 330gr/m. As mentioned above, the story of this fabric couldn’t be simpler. The wool was sheared off brown and light brown sheep, woven into fabric and washed with soap. It’s completely natural and undyed; no colors or chemicals were used in the milling of this tweed fabric. The weave is in bird’s eye design.

• CONSTRUCTION

  This jacket was crafted entirely by hand, essentially as it was a hundred years ago, using nothing more than a sewing machine, some thread and a needle. If taken care of, this jacket will last you a long time.

  – This is a 2-button jacket.
  – The jacket has 3 patch pockets.
  – The jacket is unlined and has soft shoulders, without any padding.
  – The jackets sleeves have functioning buttons.
  – All the buttons are real horn.
  – The jacket has two vents at the back.

• MILL

  This fabric was woven by Lanificio Subalpino, a small and eclectic weaving mill near Biella, Italy.

• SHIPPING

  All shipping is free. We use USPS as our main courier. We strive to deliver your order in roughly two weeks. Please bear in mind that ordering made-to-measure, hand-made clothing from a family-owned workshop is not the same as ordering a mass-produced item for quick delivery from a fulfillment facility.
  We carefully fold our clothing down to create small packages that help reduce our carbon footprint. Our packaging does not use any plastic. This helps reduce waste and keep our prices low. All the paper we use for wrapping and shipping can be recycled.
  To help us reduce waste and environmental harm without reducing your enjoyment of your purchase, please be sure to iron or steam each piece back into shape when you receive it in the mail.

• LIFETIME REPAIRS

  Whenever your article of clothing needs some repair, mail it to us. We’ll mend it and send it back to you at no cost.

• CIRCULAR LIFE

  As all our clothes are made of natural fibers, whenever you feel your article of clothing has lived its useful life, send it back to us. Almost all parts of it can be upcycled.
